Private Pilot Certificate Requirements
Aeronautical Experience Required

40 hours total flight time which includes:
-
20 hours dual instruction
-
10 hours solo flight time
-
5 hours solo cross-country
-
1 flight of 150 NM w/full stop landings at 3 points and one straight-line of 50 NM or more

3 hours night dual
-
10 takeoffs and landings
-
1 cross-country over 100 NM

3 hours of instrument training
-
3 hours of dual instruction w/in 60 days of practical test


Other Requirements

Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language

Obtain a third-class medical certificate and student pilot certificate

Pass the Private Pilot knowledge test.

Successfully complete the training program

Pass a practical test by an FAA pilot examiner.

Be at least 17 years of age before training is complete
