Your Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions? We’ve Got

Answers.

We’ve gathered answers to the most common questions about flight training, programs, and getting started at Nationwide Aviation—so you can spend less time wondering and more time flying.
  • What aircraft will I train in?

Our students train on a versatile fleet of aircraft chosen for safety, reliability, and real-world experience. You’ll start in trusted single-engine trainers such as the Piper Warrior (Texas) and the Cessna 172M (Tennessee). As you progress, you’ll move into multi-engine aircraft, including the Tecnam P2006T (Texas), giving you the skills and confidence to fly at every level.

  • What is your minimum age requirement?

It’s never too early to begin exploring aviation, but most students find the ideal time to start is around age 16. This allows plenty of time for consistent training—about 1–2 days per week—so you’re ready to meet the FAA’s minimum age requirement of 17 to earn your Private Pilot License.

  • How much does flight training cost?

Training costs vary depending on the program and pace of your progress. For the most up-to-date details, visit our Pricing Page. If you’d like a personalized breakdown or have additional questions, give us a call—we’re happy to walk you through the numbers and help you plan your path.
